How to Rent Books in Store When you view your personalized booklist you will see a choice to rent or buy used or new books for books available for rent. You can also look for the "Rent 2 Save" signs on the textbook floor which designate which books you can rent. Simply bring your books to any cashier and let the cashier know if you want to rent or buy each book. You must have your SDSU Red ID with you to rent. |

Can I get a refund on a rented book if I decide I don't want it or if I drop the class?
A: Yes. Refunds for rented textbooks will be treated in the same manner as refunds for purchased textbooks. Refunds are generally allowed through the first week of fall or spring semesters (through the 2nd day of summer terms). Please check your receipt for exact dates.

Are rental books available through EZ Books?
A: Yes. Any book available for rent in-store is also available to rent online.
When do I have to return my rented books to the SDSU Bookstore?
A: Before the close of business the last day of scheduled final exams each semester or term. Books not returned by the deadline are subject to late fees.
What if I decide I want to keep a rented book?
A: Not a problem. Just bring the book back by the close of business on the last day of final exams and we will charge you the difference between the rental and purchase price of the new or used book you rented.
Can I use a highlighter in my rented books?
A: Minimal highlighting and marking is allowed. If marks are excessive (more than a few pages) you will be charged the difference between the rental and purchase prices.
